Money Saving Monday

Welcome!

Our money saving tip this week is...........

2. Use less

Use less what? Less laundry soap, fabric softner, dishwashing soap, sugar in a recipe, etc. Manufacturers want you to buy their products. If you use how much they tell you to then you have to go back to the store sooner to get more. If you just use half of what they say then you are saving money because it is lasting longer. Say you use what is recommended on the back of your laundry soap it might last you two weeks depending on how many loads you do. If you use half of that it would last you a month. Saving is saving, no matter how big or small.

Have a great Monday!

  1. I really like the new 3-in-1 laundry sheets they have now. I even posted about them. (Yesterday, I found a refill pack on the clearance rack at Target--with my coupon, I ended up paying about 1.99 for something that goes for $7!). They are pricey, so I do the 'use less' trick with them by cutting them in halves or even thirds. It depends on the size of my wash. By using less of the product, and combining coupons with sales, I have enough detergent to last for quite a while!
