Yesterday I got a call for Riley Children's Hospital. It was Tinleigh's Allergist office calling about her blood results. Out of all the tests for allergies the only thing that came up in the blood work was peanuts. PEANUTS! I know I have said this before but, food allergies are the hardest allergy to test for. Her antibodies were pretty high for the peanut allergy so she gets an Epi-pen. Most peanut allergies are severe so it makes me comfortable that we have this just in case it's needed. She has never been exposed to peanuts or any other nuts in the nut family, so we don't know what her reaction would be.
So the plan is to keep her away from soy, milk, and peanuts till she returns in one year for her allergies to be tested again. I have been giving her some foods with wheat in them and she has been handling them fine. So I think it's safe to say she has outgrown that. Which makes me happy. I am fine with checking one thing off her list. I made banana bread this morning for her and she devoured it. That reminds me I need to get a picture of it before it's gone. This recipe will be up next week, so if you are interested in an healthier, dairy free, soy free banana bread recipe check back.
